CAVI, Centre for Advanced Visualization and Interaction, is an interdisciplinary research centre based at Katrinebjerg, Aarhus University, focusing on interaction design and digital aesthetics. CAVI carries out research through design in areas such as Urban Interaction, Media Architecture, Child-Computer Interaction and Cultural Computing. As a result of design collaborations with external partners, such as schools, architect companies, and cultural institutions, CAVI houses a number of prototypes showcasing former research projects. For the FabLearn Europe conference we provide a 30-minute guided tour for participants to get a closer look at CAVI, and to experience and interact with our projects. For instance, you will get a demonstration of our 3D-projection on Holger the Dane, create your own Dj’d music using Radartable, and interact with LEGO bricks at our tangible, interactive tables.
