Submissions

The full Call for Participation can be found here. All submissions are via https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=fablearn16. All submissions should be formatted using the SIGCHI Extended Abstracts Word Template. Further details on each of the different submission types are provided below.

Papers

  • Paper submissions must be between 6-8 pages in length.
  • The papers deadline is 22nd April, 2016 by 11:59pm (GMT).

Workshops

  • The workshops deadline is 22nd April, 2016 by 11:59pm (GMT).
  • Workshop submissions must be 2-3 pages in length and contain:
    1. Title and abstract
    2. A description of the focus, scope and format of the workshop, who is expected to participate, main topics and expected workshop outcomes.
    3. An explanation of the importance of your submission to the digital
      fabrication/makers/hands-on learning communities.
    4. Logistical details: maximum number of participants and all your technology/space needs, length of workshop (1 or 2 hours).

Posters

  • The posters deadline is 27 May, 2016 by 11:59pm (GMT)
  • Posters must be A0 in size and include a 1-3 pages description containing:
    1. Title and abstract
    2. A description of the work being presented in the poster.
    3. An explanation of the importance of your submission to the digital
      fabrication/makers/hands-on learning communities.
    4. A link/instructions to access the poster.

Demos

  • The demos deadline is 27 May, 2016 by 11:59pm (GMT)
  • Demo submissions must be 2-3 pages in length and contain:
    1. Title and abstract
    2. A description of the product or project being demonstrated.
    3. An explanation of the importance of your submission to the digital fabrication/makers/hands-on learning communities.
    4. Logistical details e.g. power and space needs.
